Nevis History

Nevis, famed as the Queen of the Caribees in the 18th century, is now a witness to history through the various plantation houses many have been transformed into elegant inns. Many of the inns offer fine dining, such as Golden Rock Plantation Inn, Nisbet Plantation Beach Club and Montpelier Plantation Inn where Princess Diana stayed when she visited Nevis. The Hermitage Plantation Inn is one of the oldest hotels, with its Great House having been built in 1700.
